Set Up Optional Battery Power Supply

As an alternative power supply, you may use a Milwaukee M18 compatible cordless power tool battery to power the BYO Wi-Fi case. This cordless option offers two advantages for your rental term.

You have the ability to utilize the BYO Wi-Fi case when a standard 110v outlet is unavailable.
The battery provides an Uninterrupted Power Supply backup option in the event that your 110v outlet loses power during your rental term.

BATTERY POWER SUPPLY SETUP

Step 1

Simply slide a M18 battery onto the red adapter on the front of the case. (Shown in the circle below)

Step 2

Press the green power button on top of the battery adapter to turn on the battery power.

HOW LONG WILL MY BATTERY LAST?

It depends on the size of M18 battery that you are using and the age of your battery as well. The older a battery is, the higher likelihood that the battery has lost some of it's nameplate capacity. The table below shows a general runtime of the BYO Wi-Fi case based on the size of the Milwaukee M18 battery.

CONSIDER THIS: The speed and capacity at which you are utilizing the BYO Wi-Fi case will have a direct affect on how long your battery will last. The higher capacity of Wi-Fi data you are using, the more power the case will draw from the battery.

CHANGING THE BATTERY

When changing the battery, the BYO Wi-Fi case will lose power momentarily during the change over period. Once the new battery is installed, press the Battery Power Button to turn on the battery power. Within 10 minutes, your BYO Wi-Fi case will come back online and you will once again be able to select it from your available local Wi-Fi networks.
