How Many BYO Wi-Fi Boxes Do I Need? Deploying Multiple Wi-Fi Boxes

In order to extend the coverage area or increase the capacity of data available to a defined area, you may elect to deploy multiple BYO Wi-Fi Rental Units.

Capabilities

A good assumption is that each BYO Wi-Fi Box can deliver a Wi-Fi signal to a clear 75 feet in any direction and provide connectivity to 30 devices. See Figure 1.

Problem

One BYO Wi-Fi Box does not provide the coverage area needed.

This graphic demonstrates a scenario where the area that requires Wi-Fi coverage is larger than what a single BYO Wi-Fi Box can deliver. See Figure 2

Solution

Deploy multiple BYO Wi-Fi Rental Boxes to expand the coverage area. See Figure 3.

60 Devices able to connect to this network.

Problem

You have a need to deliver Wi-Fi to more devices than a single BYO Wi-Fi Box can feasibly accommodate.

Solution

In order to increase the data and Wi-Fi capacity for a limited area, simply deploy multiple BYO Wi-Fi Rental Units. This will increase the number of available devices which can connect to the Wi-Fi network. See Figure 4.

When in "Roam"! In this scenario, we will program all of the BYO Wi-Fi Rental units to share the same Wi-Fi Network name and Password. Your users will be able to freely roam around the Wi-Fi zone and seamlessly jump between Wi-Fi Boxes to spread the load out evenly.
